About
The CARE (Clinical Assessment and Research in Edinburgh) Mood Disorders Clinic is a specialist service for people experiencing depression or bipolar disorder.
We support individuals by offering a comprehensive clinical assessment by psychiatrists alongside the opportunity to take part in research studies and trials of new treatments.
What we offer

Access to research opportunities where eligible patients could be recruited into clinical trials offering new treatments for mood disorders

Who we are looking for

Adults aged 18 or over

Diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder or Bipolar Disorder

Willing to consider taking part in research

Information about you: how we use it and with whom we share it
The CARE clinic only uses the personal data you have provided for the purpose of responding to your enquiry, and providing further information about the clinic. The information you provide will be accessed by a member of the CARE clinic team, who will contact you to:

Discuss next steps, if you would like to hear more about the research clinic.
You will not be added to a mailing list, and you will not automatically be signed up to attend the clinic or take part in any studies. We will use the information to contact you and have an initial discussion about what we offer.
We will hold the personal data you provided us with for as long as necessary. If you are not eligible or do not wish to take part; or after 3 months of no response from you, we will delete your information. Alternatively, you can opt to remove your details at any time.
